On A Spiritual Path: My Labyrinthine Journey
was written for you, the seeker.
It reflects the ongoing unfolding of the bones of my own sacred journey and my rich spiritual life which evolved without connection to church orthodoxy. Along the way, I accepted the sacred calling to share this experience and my learning to help others discover ways to access the spiritual and create a spirit-filled life. I wrote this book because my hope is that it will inspire you to consider your own life path, your stories, and your learning. I share with you my soul journey as an example of what might be possible. And I offer you resources to help guide you as you start or deepen your own spiritual journey. May your path be blessed.
In 2023, I met an angel. We were in the mall at a tech store sitting at a table across from each other. She smiled at me, and I smiled back.
“What are you doing these days?” she asked.
“I’m writing a book.”
“What kind of book?”
“A spiritual memoir with stories and learnings.”
“What did you learn?”
I told her I had learned that perspective is everything, the hardest times teach the most, to forget the hurt but remember what it taught me, to ask for help, that everything that happens on the path of our life journey is significant, that you need to discover and own your own truth, that loving-kindness and compassion are essential for your soul, and that, in the end, it is all about love.
“Tell me more,” she said. “What is the purpose of your book?”
“It is a love story, a declaration, the sharing of reflections on a lifetime of experiences. A work to inspire others.”
She smiled again. “The world needs such a book.” And then she walked away and was gone.
